Welcome to my site! I am a recent graduate from the University of Guelph with a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Nutraceutical Science. My program strongly focused on the importance of human health and how food and food consumption can optimize biological function, maintain health and prevent or treat disease. My main area of interest is the research behind the prevention of disease especially in a society where there is a whirlwind of information and confusion around what is right and what isn’t as well as a growing population with preventable diseases such as obesity, diabetes and various other chronic inflammatory diseases as a product of our environment. 

As a lover of spinach, kale and everything else green and full of nutrients I also have a weakness for burgers and chips. For me it’s all about balance, I try and stick with an 80/20 ratio or more ideally 90/10. I stick with the saying “Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar.”(thank you for that CrossFit). As a more recent lover of fitness and more specifically CrossFit, it is extremely important to be fuelling your body appropriately in order to achieve optimal results. Therefore, my goal is to inspire others and create recipes that will help with this very attainable lifestyle. 

I can’t promise I have the answer to everything you may need, but I can promise I’ll try!
