Not going to lie, I don’t love kale. It’s kind of blah, and the texture it too rough. So my solution? Bake em. Kale chips are seriously so delicious and so easy to snack on when you’re craving something airy and crunchy. Season with your favourite spices or enjoy with traditional sea salt. Either way it will hit the spot.
1 bundle kale
2-3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt, to taste
Optional toppings: Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts, cayenne pepper, cumin, chili flakes
Preheat the oven to 350F and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
For the chips
Cut the kale into small bite sizes pieces (not too small, they will shrink quite a bit) and spread out on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, salt and any other desired toppings.
Toss so that everything is evenly covered
Bake for about 10 minutes or until they are crunchy enough for your liking. Enjoy either nice and warm straight from the oven or keep in a container/resealable bag for freshness up to a couple days.
